This piece is dedicated to my late father Benjamin Frost Hale. My dad had a report card from elementary school that stated that he didn’t pay attention in class very well but the teacher remarked how “Benji loves bugs.” The fishing lures are modeled after his that y sister had framed for me. The within rock cairns are an homage to my mother who collects wishing rocks. The horse show and #1 ribbon are homage to my Grandpa James Harvey who is in both the horse racing hall of fame and the Vermont agriculture hall of fame.
