This piece is inspired by all of the kitchens of amazing Irish women who raised me in Vermont. Growing up at my grandparents’ house there would always be a cake under the silver cloche in the kitchen, typically German chocolate. The kitchens also had an abundance of produce in the summer/fall seasons due to gardens’ yearly abundance. My aunt Eileen has her kitchen staples all in large glass jars that inspired the top shelf. The horse show is facing upright to preserve luck. It is believed having the horse shoe face the other direction will allow your luck to spill out.

Made entirely of recycled, painted grocery bags. Bends in the paper and little bits of dry glue I may have missed are to be expected on the piece.
